Mr. Stevens is experienced, and has testified for both plaintiff and defense, in the areas of architectural design, code compliance, slip,trip and fall accidents, building functional failure issues (accessibility, storm water/erosion issues, suitability to use), design standard issues, equipment and component failures, security issues, site/facility issues, evaluation and safety and construction claims. 

Mr. Stevens is also the owner of an architectural design firm responsible for the custom design of commercial facilities, public buildings, apartment complexes and residential homes. Services performed throughout a 20 year career have included engagement for the performance of complete architectural services including custom design, detailed drawings and specifications of all architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical components; letting project for competitive bids and evaluation of competitive bids; on-going inspection of the progress of work and certification to the owner of the satisfactory completion of phases of the work.  

He has provided architectural services for the rehabilitation of residential units for Allegheny Housing Rehabilitation Corporation under various HUD and FHA programs. He has extensive knowledge of and experience in application of ADA requirements, building codes and code compliance issues.
